Sicilian food at it’s finest!
Our last night in NYC and we couldn’t leave without having pasta. Another Yelp pick for us….Pesce Pasta Trattoria. Located in the busseling neighborhood of Greenwich Village this quant restaurant stands in an understated building.

Dinner consisted of Lobster and mussel linguine in a spicy tomato sauce. The mussels and lobster were perfect and the sauce was so flavorful. With just the right amount of spicy it really added a great flavor to the shellfish.

Service was good although our waiter could have been a bit more enthusiastic. At times we both couldn’t hear him as he listed off the specials.

The mini biscotti was a nice touch at the end of the meal. All and all 4 stars for Pesce Pasta Trattoria.

Absolutely my favorite Italian restaurant in New York. Hearty food, simple ‘n classic preparation, and big portions.  You’ll feel like you wandered into a sidewalk cafe in Tuscany.  Favorite dishes:
Mussels marinara — be careful not to fill up by dipping bread in the amazing sauce, though!
Seafood risotto — transcendent.  Tomato-based, not too rich and overflowing with fresh shrimp, calamari, and scallops.
Linguini with shrimp and calamari — my standby dish. Portion is big enough to share.
Seafood lasagna — perfecto!

Reasonably priced with a good Italian wine list, waiters with authentic accents…Pesce Pasta has it all.  It’s cozy and the food is magnificent.
